Chick Corea and Foo Fighters??

YES! You are very perceptive, I am too stupid to be a comedian (I'm wiping the drool from my mouth as I type this). I admit, I am not the mental giant that you are, I am however considered by friends or make that "friend" to be a little perceptive. So, judging by your posts I would say that:
A. You are a serious intellectual that's been stepped on by the piercing shards of true wit at the ol' Mensa Annual Barbecue. So to blow off a little steam you point out to everyone who the "un-educated" are.
B. You love Terry so much that any comments directed at him are taken personally by you. Which makes me wonder: Are you Terry Bozzio? Are you the Devil?
C. You seem to have some experience in the "birthday clown" industry, Do know where I can get my clown suit? http://www.hostboard.com/forums/

I wonder if the Foo Fighters have any idea who they just played with, heh.

I love Chick Corea, and the Foo Fighters are...eeh...ok, but that was the worst team up since Van Halen and Bocephus made a video together. [img]eek.gif[/img] [img]confused.gif[/img]

Yeah, I turned it on just as Chick and the Foos were getting on stage. Pretty God awful, although they had some good energy. I guess they don't figure Chick is hip enough to play without adding a little rock.

Yeah they played "Time Like These" with Chick. Dave looked all dressed up for the show, like he was actually trying to take things "seriously", whatever happened to the 16 yr old brat persona escapes me.

Taylor isn't that bad of a drummer actually, tho he looks quite "sluggish", he used to play for Alanis' band and when he left Alanis's bassist recommended Gary Novak who at the time was playing with Chick's Akoustic Band I believe to fill his spot, which was quite short lived(only a year or so) since he left to pursue other projects. Hence the "conenction" of the performance itself I guess=?. [img]wink.gif[/img]

As expected, it was a horrible performance and a horrible song. Michael Brecker's Quindectet Wide Angles album won for best large ensemble. I picked this album up a few weeks ago and it is sick. Also, Dave Holland's Extended Play Live album is sick! Billy Kelsner is a great drummer. Has anyone heard anything about the Rendevous DVD that was previewed on Chick's website a long time ago? It was supposed to be out and now nothing. It had a killer set by the Three Quartets band w/Steve Gadd on drums playing a tune from the Friends album.

Watched it last night and felt it didn't really work, although I like the song. I heard them do an acoustic version and like that one the most. We recently had to play it (full-out rock version) on a gig as per the request of the client and it was fun to play.

I thought Keith sounded excellent with Sting last night. Great energy, loved the drum sound. The guy is pure balls. I like that about him.

I thought Keith did a good job too. He mixed a little of Copeland and a bit of Vinnie in with his own thing and sounded great. He looks enthusiastic when he plays; almost like a kid. Still haven't heard him with Wayne Krantz. If I were to buy one CD which would it be with those two?
